Sharing the ONYX Academy Vision with TGI

Today was a truly inspiring day for ONYX Academy as we had the opportunity to share our vision at The Guernsey Institute.

From the moment we arrived, the energy, curiosity and enthusiasm in the room was incredible. We had such meaningful interaction with the students, who asked thoughtful questions, shared their ideas and engaged so positively with what ONYX Academy is all about. It was a real reminder of why this work matters.

It was also wonderful to spend time speaking with the staff, whose passion for supporting young people and helping them find their path was clear throughout the day. Their encouragement and insight made the experience even more valuable.

At ONYX Academy, we believe learning should build confidence, open doors and help people recognise what they are capable of. Today gave us the chance to talk about practical skills, personal development, enterprise, employability and the importance of creating supportive learning experiences that meet people where they are.

Most of all, it reminded us that when students feel listened to, encouraged and supported, potential starts to unlock.

A heartfelt thank you to The Guernsey Institute for such a warm welcome and for allowing us to share the ONYX Academy journey. We left feeling excited, encouraged and even more committed to building brighter futures.
