Becky Machon

“Through my role at ONYX Academy, I aim to inspire, equip, and empower young people to step confidently into their futures with the skills, mindset, and self-belief they need to succeed.”
With over 20 years of experience in human resources, including 17 years running a successful HR consulting and payroll business, Becky brings a wealth of real-world knowledge to her work as a life and business coach. Her career has been built on helping people grow, navigate challenges, and unlock their potential, and she’s passionate about bringing those same skills to the next generation.
Alongside her HR career, Becky has also built and run a successful retail business, giving her a deeper understanding of what it takes to start and sustain several different businesses. Becky is a qualified life coach, HR practitioner, animal PEMF practitioner and interior designer and she is a self-confessed lover of learning and personal development.
Zoë Cousens

Before setting up her garden design business in 2025, Zoë built a long and successful career in finance, wealth management and fiduciary services. She began in the 1980s as one of the first women to work on the London Stock Exchange, before going on to manage global investment portfolios and hold senior management roles within the trust company of an international law firm. Zoë has more than 10 years’ board experience across commercial and not-for-profit organisations.

I bring a strong background in training, business support, and professional development, with experience helping individuals and organisations build knowledge, confidence, and practical capability. Throughout my work, I have focused on creating learning opportunities that are relevant, accessible, and grounded in real-world needs.
